Naomi Jacobs

Naomi Jacobs is a Research Fellow, whose research is focused on the impacts of digital technology on individuals and communities, and the notion of 'digital public space'. Her current work examines  this particularly in terms of governance, transparency and accountability of new technologies. This includes Internet of Things deployments in public spaces, and systems which use artificial intelligence and machine learning. She also has an interest in how fan communities interact in digital spaces. Her book 'Living in Digital Worlds: Designing the Digital Public Space' is available from Routledge.
